Folio was set up in 2005 by Penny Lawson who has 15 years' experience in subbing and management. She has been putting people in touch informally for years and after many successful placements decided to turn it into a business.

Penny Lawson, Director
Penny started out as editorial assistant at Harpers & Queen before working at a partwork company for seven years on titles including Creating Your Home and Disney’s The Lion King. She was chief sub editor on Safeway Magazine published by Redwood, then went freelance - magazines worked on include InStyle, Woman&Home, BBC Homes & Antiques, Delicious and Yachting World.

Annie Hathaway, Consultant
Annie has a marketing and recruitment backround and has joined Folio as a consultant. She returned from Ireland in 2007 where she spent four years working with and recruiting for the Irish Health Service.
